Berkeley Flea Market Finds

I’ve always loved a good chase, but the most convenient thing about the Berkeley Flea Market is that it is located at the Ashby Bart Station. The reason I went to the Berkeley Flea Market was to help my mom. She’s embarking upon a new jewelry designing business. Her stuff is actually pretty great! So…being the professional multi-tasker that I am, I had to scope out some of the other vendors for YOU!

Audrey B Accessories-My mom’s earrings were selling like CRAZY! Only $5 a pair. After a pair sold she would make another set to replace them.

MADD HATTER

I recently cut my hair and all of my hats are too big! So of course I HAD to find a new one. Mike had the best selection by far. Selling at the Berkeley Flea Market for the last seven years, Mike says business is steady. A native New Yorker, Mike has many wholesale connections along with attending industry trade shows. For info contact Mike at trumagic@comcast.net .

I LOVED this Peter Grimm recycled fedora made from recycled organic coffee bags but it was out of my budget.

This vintage inspired cap was adorable but...

I opted for this UBI straw fedora.

AFRICAN ACCENTS

Genuinely Kenyan sells beautifully handmade leather sandals and accessories. They were so beautiful I just had to grab a pair. Chatting with the owners I learned their how these African treasures made their way to the Bay Area.
While visiting husbands Charles’ family in Kenya Cheryl decided to indulge in a little retail therapy. She quickly fell in love with a pair of handmade sandals and was soon arranging to resale them in the US. Charles & Cheryl sell 20 different styles of beaded sandals ranging from $20-$30. For more info contact them at 510.272.9035 or genuinelykenyan@yahoo.com .

The multi-colored ones on the right went home with yours truly.
